Garcia, Garcia has built the second Portuguese factory for the Brazilian multinational WEG in the Ermida Enterprise Park, in Santo Tirso, thus contributing to the increase in production capacity of one of the world´s leaders in the manufacture and sale of electric motors and to the creation of 120 direct jobs.

GG's know-how in the design and execution of industrial buildings enabled it to define a structured solution in concrete that, besides increasing the building's fire safety, enhanced the speed of the construction process.
In order to meet the needs of the multinational, one of the challenges taken on by GG at the conceptual design stage was to maximise the usable floor area and to eliminate structural physical obstructions in the production area.
For this purpose, a wide structural grid was designed, reducing the number of columns within the production area, thereby enhancing the free and modular definition and implementation of the production layout by WEG.
