With an area of 38,000 m2, Garland's new logistics center is located in Valadares along the A44 and A29.

This Design & Build project complies with all the best practices of innovation, environmental and energy sustainability and aims to be the first logistics center in Portugal with international BREEAM New Construction certification.
It is a state-of-the-art logistics center with a strong focus on sustainability, and the project was developed to include solutions oriented towards energy efficiency and minimization of the environmental footprint, for instance with use of lighting management systems, with zenith lighting maximization, and with energy production for self-consumption, among others. In addition to the above, the materials used were subject of careful selection, choosing materials of high performance and durability, as well as with an efficient and environmentally viable production cycle. Also noteworthy is the high-planimetry floor, for the 44 uneven piers, including telescopic docks to allow adaptation to any type of vehicle, and for the advanced safety and fire protection systems, including FM approved sprinkler system.
