The Garland logistics centre in Cascais was totally refurbished; apart from boosting the company's operating activities, this also enabled it to concentrate all the company's support services in the Metropoliton area of Lisbon.

This 2 unit complex was entirely remodelled, also benefiting from an increase in the useful floor area in one of the buildings through the installation of a 620 m2 mezzanine floor, intended for office and staff areas.
A new architectural design was drawn up for the façade, while improvements were made to walls and roofs, including changes to angles on the façade and the installation of a fascia around the roof of one of the units. The installation of zenithal lighting systems in the 2 buildings helped to improve working conditions and to reduce energy bills.
In addition to full refurbishment of interiors and exteriors, the work included full rewiring, as well as the introduction of modern fire detection and extinguishing systems and CCTV access control systems.
On an operational level, the loading bay area was redesigned and the layout of the loading zones was redefined. In the logistics area, floor surfaces were improved with the application of a Proglass system.
