Eurocast Arcos

Garcia, Garcia developed this turnkey project for the multinational Eurocast – Groupe ADG. This plant manufacturing die cast aluminium parts for the automotive industry was built in the Mogueiras Enterprise Park, in Arcos de Valdevez, and represents a total investment of approximately €23.5 million, initially creating 130 jobs.

The output of this manufacturing plant, which covers an area of 28,650 m2 is intended for the domestic (Portuguese) and international automotive market.
Developed to optimise material and product flows in order to reduce both lead times and the need for internal movement of materials, products, machinery and people, the new plant has a manufacturing area comprising four linked units, two for production/casting (equipped with overhead travelling cranes) and the other for assembly and finishing.
To minimise the environmental impact of the construction, the Eurocast plant was equipped with an advanced waste management system, with its own effluent treatment stations.
